I have a badly leaking garage roof and wonder if anyone can tell me how much it would cost to have it replaced. I realise this question is very vague but I have no idea whether it is likely to be £50 or £5000 so just a very broad estimate would give me an idea. Thanks for reading this. Janet

I do believe you are under estimating your average garage roof....as soon as you mention asbestos the price of the job has just begun to spiral.
Are you aware that you cant just remove the corrugated sheets, and take them to the tip.
The costs involved in removing it responsibly, would build a new garage...!
The people I work for had to get a team out to...

You'll have to post back with the approx size, whether it is a lean-to roof, or is pitched, and whether tiled, slates, tin, whatever covering. That will be something to work on. At the moment it is anywhere between 100 and 10,000 quid!
This product seems to be good , according to the demonstrations on the shopping channel .

IsoFlex is the old favourite .. I don't think it has been bettered .. only copied.

Thank you for taking the trouble to answer. I have no idea of the size but just an average single garage however the roof I think may be asbestos but the corrugated sheet sort that i understand is not too dangerous provided not broken. I think I will just have to bite the bullet and get a builder in for an estimate, i didn't want to waste anyone's time because unless it is reasonable there is no way I can have it done, anyway thanks again.
Single garage roof, £500-£750
English building company - £10k
Private english builder - £5k
Indian Builder - £3k
Polish/EE - £1k
Irish builder - £500 (you buy new corrugate & supply tools etc)

The people I work for had to get a team out to remove a single pre-fab garage with a corrugated roof before an extension could be started... £3500 for 1 hours work.
All of a sudden the Iso-flex seems a cheap solution...it is excellent stuff though.

Thank you alavahalf, I think I knew deep down that it was not going to be cheap but i have just found out that our local council are running a scheme whereby they send approved people to give a realistic estimate and so I think I will try them, I will ask about the product you that has been mentioned and would like to say thank you for taking the trouble to answer.
