Im renovating an old house for my brother as he doesnt have much cash i have said i will pay for it all which will end up in the region of about �30,000 he will then pay me back when he has sold it 12 months down the line is there any software or office template spreadsheets that anyone has or knows of so that i can keep a track of all expenses of materials cheers

I don't know of a dedicated package but I think you could use excel spreasheet.

Hi Fire,

This is a wonderful thing you are doing for your brother. Not to be the devil's advocate here, but I do hope you have something in writing just in case something were to happen to your brother that would cause him to physically not be able to complete the transaction. I know of a person who did this for a relative and the homeowner was in a coma for several months from an accident. All worked out well in the end, but one never knows what life will bring.
