Sliderobes

Hi, anybody have these that could offer some advice?
Having lived off parents hand-me-downs for several years now, I am in a postiion to finally kit out my bedroom.
It is a reasonable size 10ft by 16ft and 1 one large window.
And I am looking for the wardrobes to fit in an L Shape to make the most of the space and also the range of stuff I want to store from 50+ pairs of shoes, hangbags, 25 pairs of jeans....... etc.......
I have heard bad and good reports about these so any experiences would be interesting to to hear!

I wandered into their showroom to buy innards for one wardrobe. I asked for a catalogue and pricelist and was told "Oh no Madam, we visit your house and computer design your wardrobe then we tell you the price...." It put me right off. We have recently had our kitchen redesigned by a very posh local firm and even there they tell you prices as you go along!
Ikea have some neat stuff, also furniture village, we looked at B and Q but theirs was very flimsy

If you measure up thoroughly, Magnet will probably fill the space wisely for you Sally.
I have bespoke stuff made to spec from elm, ash, oak .. but the costs would scare you!

Just done one of the bedrooms in my house with IKEA robes with sliding doors.I don't really like sliding doors but they do save a lot of space. The robes are excellent - take a look at their website. I fitted a run of wardrobes 4 metres long by 2.1 metres high, bought some extra shelves and some sliding baskets, the cost was about £800. The worst bit was paying £65 to have it all delivered !! There again, it would have almost that to hire a van - and it saves you having to load up.

Hi Sally If you decide to go with the fitted sliding robes heres a tip I could have done with. Make sure they dont fit the bottom track directly to the floor because this means when you carpet you have no edge to butt up to. I wish I had thought of it when we had ours fitted and I would have had them put a wood baton along the floor for the track to be screwed to so I wouldnt have had a problem with a raw edge on the carpet. By the way I love the wardrobes!! Hold loads of stuff.
