quote to fit an outside light in my back garden

i would like an outside light in my garden and before i start looking for quotes has anyone any idea as to how much i would be reasonably be expected to pay,thanks in advance .

Doubt you would get a reasonable answer here as a lot will depend on how much work is actually involved. It could take anything from 1 hour to all day.

Have you thought about placing Solar Powered Lights in your Garden as this may be a far cheaper option.

Are you talking about one light, mounted on the wall for your house, that could be run from a switch inside the house, and hence is just a basic spur off the existing house wiring?
................. or are you talking about a light on a post in the ground, ......... that needs a trench dug at least 400mm deep, ...... and then expensive special cable that can't be sheared by a spade going through it, ......... and wiring and circuit breakers that enables safe connection outside the building?

Now do you see why this is a length of string-type question?
