can any one tell me what "can be applied up to 3 months before launch" means on a can of anti foul boat paint,
1) does it mean it has to be painted and then stuck in the water within 3 months, or
2) can be painted then left for 3 months before being stuck in the water, or does
3) it mean something else?

thanks muchly

I believe it suggests that the coating may not be as effective after 3 months of ageing before launching. Most of these are ablative or epoxy coatings, aren't they?
