can any one tell me what "can be applied up to 3 months before launch" means on a can of anti foul boat paint,
1) does it mean it has to be painted and then stuck in the water within 3 months, or
2) can be painted then left for 3 months before being stuck in the water, or does
3) it mean something else?
I believe it suggests that the coating may not be as effective after 3 months of ageing before launching. Most of these are ablative or epoxy coatings, aren't they?
thanks for that, i just dont have a clue as took boat out of water 6 mths ago, and need to re apply anti foul, but some of the other boats here in the marina that are dry standing , where painted ages ago, so theyve passed their 3 mths , are they using something different, as all ive checked says the same thing?
? confusing or what
thanks for that, i will have a good read of it, guess im too lazy to find stuff like that, was thinking someone woul just give me a quick answer, but i guess it does work like that, a lot more complicated, many thanks anyway
