Cleaning Ceramic Hob

Hi, I have a ceramic hob, touch sensitive controlas and all that, very stylish thing and looks lovely. If you don't bloody use it. when it's used and being a hob is used near every day it gets like oily stains on it, it's not from oil but for some reason it gets like really silvery patches on it, they can be rubbed away eventually using the scraper, but it takes a lot of wor and sometimes a couple of days to shift them, from one cooking session.

 

Anyone got any better ways of keeping these damn things clean?

Have you tried 'Hob Brite'? It's in an orange plastic bottle and you should be able to find it in amongst all the cleaning products at your local supermarket.

Hob Brite is absolutely the Mutts Nuts, use it every time. No I don't sell it but I've had a ceramic cooker.

As well as Hob Brite, I've also found that Astonish's Stainless Steel cleaner (you can get Astonish brand cleaners from Waitrose) is also fantastic at removing stubborn marks and brings back the glossy 'mirror' look to the hob.

Got some Hob Brite last night and the hob is sparkling again, thanks people, My kitchen looks nice again without actually having to use too much effort, that's a good state of affairs.

I have always used Hob Brite on my ceramic hob & it works wonders.

We spilt some cooking oil on our ceramic hob whilst cooking pancakes on Tuesday and thought that nothing would shift the oily stains. 

Just bought some Hob Brite and every last mark has gone.  Amazing stuff!
