I have a long established privet hedge across the bottom of my garden ( 22ft,( 7m) wide ) which is dying off through lack of water. I live just west of London and every year our annual rainful is getting less.
I have a nearby shed at one end of the hedge onto which I could fit gutters.
What would be the best way of getting this gutter water across the width of the hedge every time it rains ?

Use downpipe to duct around. Leave so can be pulled apart. Drill drainage holes in it and blank the end. Route along hedge. Small holes near start, bigger at end. Wait for rain. Either that or connect up a length of "leaky pipe"
