Use a copper or very shiny brass container and possilby stage it with a a ruff, a dagger or an old book with some calligraphy on the open pages or a piece of tapestry or embroidery in progress.. think of a tudor lady and gentleman just leaving the room and setting their things down beside the container..... Staging drapery either deep wine red or a deep green velvet or a dupion silk effect...
