My husband has a reverse osmosis unit which he uses to provide "pure" water for his fishtank. Does anyone know if we can also use this water in the steam iron and for topping up the car battery and radiator?
Since reverse osmosis is a process for removing dissolved mineral salts, organic molecules and certain other impurities by forcing water under pressure to pass through a semi-permeable membrane, it produces water purity similar to distilled water and is recommended for use as you mention...
Go raibh mile maith agat, a Chlanaid! (Thanks very much, in other words...) We were pretty sure it probably was like distilled water, but just wanted a second opinion.
