Our tumble dryer stopped spinning last week. After a lot of taking apart and putting back together I realised the belt was snapped. I got a new belt and fitted it around the drum. The tumble dryer is now spinning again but it is making quite a loud noise, other than that it seems to be going okay. We have been using it now for a couple of days and just keeping an eye on it but obviously I would like to stop the noise. What would most likely be causing it?

Well EDDIE it is on pretty tight and getting it on was a real struggle as it is meant to be very tight I think. It's definitely the right belt size as I had the old belt and part number. It's 8 years old so I don't think I'd bother getting someone to look at it, probably just as well to get a new one instead. I might take it out and loosen up some screws and have a look at the innards again.
