tempur mattress topper and electric blanket...

is it safe to have the electric blacket underneath the mattress topper?

or best to have it on top...i know on a normal bed it goes on top...

and is it safe at all?

have you tried the topper without? they are very cosy...I would be concerned as the mattress topper moulds to your body and make it comfortable by softening with your body heat...if you heat the whole topper it would pancake out and lose the point of having one.

yeh i hav it without now, but its getting colder.

yes i was worried it would melt or somthing
This is something I've wondered about since these mattresses became available. The foam reacts to body warmth, so what's going to happen with an electric blanket on full? Somebody on here must have tried?
I've been surfing the sites and they all seem to say the same thing. Best not to but if you do, put the blanket over the mattress, use it to warm the bed then switch it off. They all say that long term it will affect the topper
