I have an indoor plant about 30cm tall. It has long shiny thick leaves which fan out. The first 3 or 4 years it gave a beautiful orange flower but since then nothing at all. I split it into 5 hoping this would help matters but still nothing this year.
Does anybody have an idea what plant it is so I can google it and see what I'm doing wrong.

Guzmania lingulata ... possibly.
Coccinelle, could you post a picture the plant on here?

No, naz it isn't that. The leaves of my plant fan out like a V when you're looking at it side on.
society, I wouldn't know how to post a picture on here....
The flower head has multiple flowers on it in a ball and really looks spectacular.

They thrive on neglect and like to be pot bound but do need feed.

Couldn't be an Amaryllis could it (although seems a bit short)?
I'd have thought Clivia, too ... Keep 'em crowded, dry, cool .. and out of direct sun!
Question Author
Yes, that's it. A Clivia miniata. The only thing i think must have happened is that I pushed the plant nearer a radiator. Will keep them cool this winter and see what happens. Thank you .
