Is it possible to replace glass shades to fit an existing ceiling fitment as the original shades are really old fashioned, or do you have to buy the whole thing? Many thanks.

It depends how the shades fit to the bracket but generally, yes. There's a company called Tyson Lighting who have a website which might be useful or Northern Lights.
