i think there is a blockage in my washing machine. it wont go on any programme and it wont empty. is it still okay to open the filter at the bottom to check for blockages even if water is still in machine?
No need to be sarcastic! If the brushes are worn and "it won't go on any program" then the drum will not turn or spin and this could cause the pump not to kick in. So up yours wise guys!
The pump is powered independantly from the timer unit and not by the drum motor.
Sure, if the drum motor brushes become badly worn, it will not turn.
This does not prevent the timer unit firing the pump though.
C'mon Purple-Popple ... no I dont work for the aforementioned company.
Dont you agree it all becomes a lot easier when someone who knows what they are talking about explains it ... along with moving pictures.
Otherwise all you have is the rest of us trying to offer vague answers to vague questions.
Anyhow carol has not returned with more questions .. so we can only assume she watched the video and found the answer ... or not ?
