We planted in miniture standard rose in May last year and it was truely beautiful right through to the first frost. It's looking very healthy but stragley. When can I trim it back into shape without risking it not flowering??

Trim the straggley bits back to a strong, outward facing bud now. If necessary you can trim it some more when the weather warms up

Thank you.
No problem it should flower well this year if it is in a nice sunny spot just dont let any inward growing shoots go wild or you will end up with a mess. Try to keep the centre open so that it can breathe. I have had one for about 10 years now and it gives a lovely show every year. Good luck
