Its subliminal. The sorts of people who drive white vans - builders, plumbers, removals etc, say 'awight, awight' a lot and so, subconsciously, that why they choose it. ;o)
Thanks for your thoughts! I suspected that white is cheaper, but why should it cost less than say, yellow or blue? And I've seen loads of vans this morning without any markings or logo!
All vans are white to begin with as this is the undercoat. The more upmarkets companies add a colour. This explation is according to a local radio station when this question was asked a few weeks ago.
apparently ( i was told this when i was looking for my first car) white cars / vans are cheaper to insure than other vehicles are colours. Black cars are most expensive as they attract heat and have more chance of over heating and stuff..... dont no if it true.... may b a myth!
And they can go and park where they like and they are supplied with glasses that make red lights look green.also handy for red routes. And if you get a white van you dont have to take your test .
they are born that colour. Vans spawn and the young are born in late november/early december, with a white winter coat (see: stoat, arctic fox, christmas pig)... Normally, they would mature to a rich terracotta, but many never gain their summer plumage because of congestion, pollution, and abuse in early life...
