Handyman giving quote - Delay
5 Answers
I phoned my handyman 1 week ago today to do a few urgent jobs for me in a flat I rent out. He said he could do jobs sometime this week. I asked for him to give me a quote prior to jobs going ahead. We agreed for me to email him detailing urgent jobs for him to do.
He went in the flat on Friday morning to assess work. I am still waiting for him to get back to me re quote. He is normally quite quick at providing a quote in the past.
I sent him a text on Saturday morning asking him if he managed to gain access to flat ok. He replied saying he would sort out quote over weekend.
It's now Tuesday (1 week into me contacting him). I don't want to keep contacting him about doing work as it may seem like i am pestering him.
I am thinking of waiting until tomorrow afternoon and if I have not heard, I will contact someone else.
I don't want to come across as being unreasonable, but I also don't want to hound people, when I am giving them work. I can understand he may be busy, but he could advise me of the delay.
Anyone suggest any other options?
