Tee Piece

At least I think that's what it is and how it's spelled.

My previous washing machine was plumbed in and water entered fine. It's replacement is a single fill and the washing machine expert today told me it was goosed.

£28 poorer and apparently in need of a new tee-piece.would this be accurate or is it the washing machine which he assured me was fine?

Thank you TB, no, it's a metal tap-like thing which screws itself onto the water-pipe. The end of which can then be screwed onto the inlet hose to the wash-machine. The tap can then be turned on to allow the water to flow to the washing machine when the w/m is on.
Will have a look to see if I can find an image on tinterweb, but I warn you, I'm hopeless at posting links.

apologies for the delay in replying TB, you had better luck than me on tinterweb :)

That's the sort of thing. self-screwing into the water-pipe. The end of the hose that feeds the wash-machine with water attaches itself to that end. How on earth can the water pressure drop within 10 days? There is hardly any water coming out of the thing.

Water and this house do not go together. Boiler has leaked (and that was a new one) Toilet has leaked (that was old but now sorted with a fancy new loo)
