easy enough to learn tink, but you have to be interested!.......I was not, so never really got the hang of it!.....having said that, if you do enjoy it, you can produce some lovely things!......
I bought a cardigan in M&S the other day. It was £35 and made of merino wool (lovely and soft). I thought to myself 'I could knit this, why am I paying so much to buy it' so I found a pattern and then priced the wool. I would need 12 balls of wool each costing £2.99 (£35.88) and then there was the bother of knitting it. It just wasn't worth it. At the moment I am crocheting a cot blanket from scraps of wool left over from knitting baby cardigans, but it has to be a labour of love. I prefer crocheting to knitting - I consider it to be easier.
