I thought if your BANNED from AB then all your posts get removed?
A poster I like seems to be banned, yet all their posts are still there.
Why's that?

usually they do. Are you maybe talking about one who's just been suspended for a week? In that case the posts remain.
You should email the ED directly with this "query".
I think that's down to the Eds descretion..
Yep, the Ed loves to debate this subject. Anything to do with suspension and banning, in fact...
I think if some posts are useful and there are a large volume of them the ed will leave it there, thats my logic on it..
Well, what happened to all of yours when you got banned?
There are several categories. 1. Suspended. 2. Banned. 3. Banned but posts intact. 4. Banned and all posts stripped. Your poster is cat 3. simples.
Grass - But some posters have been suspended for months. So it appears to be a perm suspension..
hate to be a pedant, grasscarp but whats the difference between your two and four?
2 should probably be perma suspended.
If a moderator bans someone all of their posts are automatically removed.

If the Ed bans someone it's up to their discretion as to whether the posts are removed.
well maybe I should have had 2a and 2b. At this time of night it is quite hazy. Please see the joggerjayne posts as I have been at her party.
thanks for that "subtlety," though it does seem to be the case....the perm suspended that is. Get four suspenders and do you get a pair of free stockings?
Hmmmmmm ¬_¬
Are you sure you haven't put a variant of this users name in the search bar? There are some users that have more or less the same name with extra _ and ,'s and .'s...
Buenchico, this is a strange hierarchy where the moderator is higher than the ed! I also am surprised that one person can decide to remove years of a person's postings. That person has spent hours if not days of their time trying to help people and at a stroke that is removed for an indiscretion or a bad day they are having which has caused offence.
I agree with that grass carp, you think it would be the other way around so Ed has last right, but then he may have as to reinstitute them.

Anyway time for the stairs, I think......

OK. thanks for the replays,
It's still not very black and to me.
Dolt. Very few of us understand the workings of AB. The Ed plays it close to the gnome's chest and will not answer direct questions as to what happened to people or why. Goodnight DT.
Who are you on about, Dolt?
