camera fault

Good Afternoon everybody, I have a problem with my camera,which, hopefully somebody can help me. the camera is a Sony Cyber-shot, the batteries are ok,but when I tried to use it, only a blank white screen showed,whatever I tried,it remained blank.Can there be a solution, or do I just bin it ? thank you.

you don't mention the model - but if it is the older 1 there are a few on ebay for spares repair - maybe a common fault.
put one on your christmas wish list!
