I cant get a document open on computer

Its encoded now :0( any ideas?

Iv tried to save as a pdf file but it wont open with notepad or word :0(

That doesn't make a lot of sense, I'm afraid. Can you please explain precisely where this document came from, what its full name is, and what error message you're seeing...

I downloaded that office org (?) u recommended its been great. This doc i wrote on office org ..ive mailed to myself anf am on work computer and it wont open at all.

Then its pages n pages of gobbledeegook!!!
Tinks, might it be that your work computer doesn't have Microsoft Word installed on it...?

try compatibility mode, or better advice?

Windows 7 has nothing whatsoever to do with Microsoft Office...

It does have word mark!? Hmmm

Nightmare! I thougt renaming the file with ".doc" or .pdf but that didnt help

Mark thatd b amazing ill try! C if u can even open it...and paste the text in a blank email id be ETERNALLY gratefull ...seriously gratefull!!

Tinks, I replied to you. Just tell me how you want the document to be sent back to you...
Sure the file hasn't corrupted ? Can you open it in the same application you created it with ?
If I have not moissed something the problem is that you did not save your original as a .doc file You are trying to open the .odt (ODF file from Open Office) in a Microsoft program that does not recognise it.
Unless the document is ONLY for use my myself at home, I always save it as a
Microsoft Word 97/ 2000/XP (.doc) or a .pdf as appropriate.
I think you will need to go back to the original, re save it and re send it. Then it can be opened anywhere.
