Stopping cats using my drive as a toilet

Hi,

I have a concrete drive and pathway and the local cat population use it as a communal loo. This has been a fairly long standing problem that I have been unable to stop.  Can anyone advise a way to stop this? I've tried a number of methods that are only partly succesful for a short period of time.I am looking for any ideas that deters the cats but doesn't harm them in any way.

Put a mangled/battered rag cat just where the real cats go to the loo. It will probably scare the real cats off!

I have a large paved yard and have two regular cats that foul several times a day, if that wasn't bad enough they dig up my plant in tubs to poo in there too, destroying my hard work.

why should I spend 30quid on an electronic device to scare them off and stop ruining my expensive plants, if i knew who the owners were I think they should pay for it if they want to see there cat alive throughout the summer as much as I want a pleasant garden!

if it is indeed a hedgehog that is crapping in my garden rather than a cat, does anyone know how to get rid of ******** hedgehogs?
