I have a small LCD television. Suddenly the screen has gone blank; the sound is still there, the volume and channel-switching controls are still operating. Any ideas, please?

Try switching it off and back on again.

Also if you're using a set top box or satellite decoder to get the signal, try switching that off and back on again too...
