Finding router password?
10 Answers
I am trying to connect to a router but no one can remember the password. The PC I am on is connected I know that it is 8 characters long because I can see it in the properties. But it will not let me click "show characters" to see what it is. Is there any way to find it out?

Most routers have a reset button which sets everything back to factory presets. The manual, which you can find online if you have lost it, will tell you what the factory setting for the password is. Once you are in you can set the password to whatever you want.
NB you will lose any other settings you have made when you press the reset.
