Ebay query....
19 Answers
Im very clued up on ebay due to my ebay addiction....however...was wondering if something had changed...
A seller mailed me to ask me to " let ebay know" when i recieved my item because "she couldnt access the money till then as she was a new ebayer"
Hmmm i replied that i was sure the money should be available as soon as i had paid (instantly, 10 piggn days ago) but that i would let them know upon receiptt and also leave feedback.
Got it yesterday, after 10 days :0/.....it was dirty with a wee handwritten note saying sorry item fell out the car this should wash off no problem...
Bit p1ssd off she should have at least mailed me in advance to say ..was quite disappointed to open that up! Also they have feedback for 12 months so not new user. Weird.
Thinking of leaving my first ever neutral feedback...:0/
Really though...the money is available straight away isnt it...well it always has been to me. Strange user. X

Was the 12 months feedback for the seller as a buyer until now, not as a seller? - some people buy for quite a while before they launch into selling.
You don't have to let eBay know - eBay will be looking at her feedback if she's a newby.
That's disgraceful about the condition of the item. I wouldn't leave neutral feedback, I would leave negative - items should be sold fit to put on straight away unless specifically stated otherwise. I've emailed buyers to say "sorry, slight delay, I had to wash it" if I've spotted a mark on an item as I'm packaging it. If things are marked (e.g. shoes I've worn) I always say so, so buyers can't say I've not told them.
I don't think the issue of releasing funds is odd (if she's new to selling) but people do try to pull the wool over sellers' eyes sometimes. If the item's not exactly as you expected, say so - I wouldn't leave a positive or a neutral in a case like this, it's a careless seller.

knockavvaca,
why can't buyers leave negative feedback anymore??? I had two ebay shops, and had one or two twits leaving negative feedback, and i think if its a genuine reason then it's o'k. is this another e-bay money making scam, like free postage, don't want to scare potential buyers off, so they get their commision?
