Blimey that Ibiza's a dodgy place .My hairdresser has just come back from St Antonio and they were all robbed in the hotel .About 20 people had cash and valuables stolen from their rooms .They even managed to access the safes .
Is that near you Neti ?
Oh shaney, yes robbery is rife here at the moment. You have to be so aware every minute. At the hippie market there were 6 purses stolen in a couple of hours, it's really dreadful. Your poor hairdresser! Surely the hotel made reconpence, however did they get into the rooms? Well geographically and relatively we are near to San An but miles away and never go there in the summer, occaisonally in the winter for sunday lunches. There's been a lot of robbery on the beaches too, when people are sleeping or swimming their handbags are stolen., Apparently the thieves drop a towel over the bag and whip the whole thing away, not just tourists, we are all targetted.

People are even being tied up in their homes now and being robbed. We are a long way from our gate so hopefully would see or hear anyone approaching and bolt the front door. I have both back and front doors open all day.
That's awful Neti .They reckon it was an inside job as the electrics had been tripped .They had their iPads and about 800 Euros stolen .Others had the same ,cash and small valuables which the thieves can sell on presumably .No passports stolen though .The hotel owners weren't interested .They did upgrade them to full board though but only after after the rep stepped in. The police didn't seem too interested either so she said .
It's a case of claiming on their insurance now and hopefully getting some feedback from Thompsons .
Oh what a shame, hija worked on the claims at Thomsons a couple of years back, she would have sorted it! That's why one has to have insurance when on holiday. As for the police, there just are not enough of them, they just accept that these things happen and issue a "denuncia"form for the insurance purposes. If I was your hairdresser I would have got "denuncia" against the hotel too. Hate to say this and of course I may be wrong but they have lots of eastern bloc people working here now cos they are cheap. some people even have photos of the thieves but until they are caught red-handed nothing can be done.

What a lousy rotten thing to happen shaney.

I see dt's back...with 11 music question's already :)
that's awful...will it affect trade Neti? I know Ibiza relies a lot on it holidaymakers.
Yes I noticed DT among us, wonder how long it will last.
You can bet that those things were sold on immediately, so annoying and not much we can do, but the local foreigners us lot are getting fed up and want to be vigilantes, that suit me and my
rolling pin!
Won't affect trade woody. it happens everywhere.
Question Author
giggles at 'woody'...my bloomin kindle does that every time (predictive text)
yes that was on my phone so can blame predictive text, normally it's just my bad typing!
do you think that DT buys all the cd's that she asks about, would cost a fortune and as for downloading herself, not too sure....
34º in the house, in and out of pool and not drying off. he's mended my kitchen light and left melon and ham for dinner so no cooking (does he remember that I cannot eat melon??)
Lol..and the vutures are circling :)
I see Gorleston is in the news in CB .According to one ignorant person the gene pool here in Norfolk is rather shallow .I shall refrain from answering in case I accidently rip his head off :)
What a glorious day it's been .Had an hour or so in the garden reading my book and gazing at what needs to be done but hopefully my errant gardener will turn up tomorrow .My bro will remind him :)
Cockles and prawns for dinner with a bit of salad and some new potatoes .
Mr S went for the potatoes to Morrisons .12 of 'em ( loose potatoes) from Cornwall ...£3.15..I nearly fell orf my perch .They must be gold plated .
shaney they came up from Cornwall in a Rolls Royce...the stories about norfolk and genes are sooooooooo old and they were never true, interesting or funny.
Cockles and prawns, ooh yummy. The prawns here just do not taste the same.

I've had ribs and a half-baked potato, and Mr N had melon and parma ham. He was home early and sober, I think he's trying to behave, which is pleasing. Must shsout more often, but it's the rarity of it that shocked him!

he's mended the kitchen light and a fan! Things are looking up!

So awfully warm here today, so humid, I've been in the pool more times than I've had hot dinners (well today anyway). Hija has bought me a new armchair lilo, so I think my shouting has sorted her out too, she was home early last night and is eating again.
good, its amazing how therapeutic a good yell can be. I have bounced from headache to headache here today. definitely fed up fed up with the weather.
I don't mean half a baked potato I mean a half cooked one.
raw in the middle? yuck. I had a bowl of icecream. Will eat properly when its cooler.
loving the weather. Wish I had an armchair lilo. Wish I had a pool. The Saudis who live next door (a few weeks every year) have one but have covered it over as it otherwise gets full of mosquitos, tadpoles and dead animals.

Actually one of them has just returned home, leaving us a bag of dates and pistachio Turkish delight. Then she rang us this morning saying could we put her bin out for her as she'd forgotten to do it before she left. Ah well, I'm sure we've all been there, sitting in Riyadh realising we haven't put the rubbish out in the UK.
Off to bed very shortly. It's very strenuous doing all this exercise ;o). I am useless at Pilates, even this very gentle stuff, but I will soldier on. I feel about 90. (I keep calling it Karate!!)

Oight, oight.
