After we got engaged, I bought a house in my own name. My fiancee and I subsequently broke up and she moved out. Now she wants half my house - is that legal?

No she has no legal ties with you or the house. Go to the solicitor for better advice
The only claim she could have is if you both paid towards the house, or if she supported you to enable you to buy it. Even then she would have to go to court to secure any claim.
Incitatus is correct. However, (depending on how long you lived together for) she may now be your common law spouse in which case she is entitled to 'half'. Can't live with 'em, can't shoot 'em eh?
