Did you see my feeble effort of copying and pasting from that 'chris' website, this morning? It was on desktop's 'factor 30 gone missing'

What did I do wrong? I found the website, found something to copy, highlighted it, copied it and then pasted it. It came out all wrong.

Sorry Tilly2, no I didn't.
If you just copied and pasted something on the web page itself, that would only appear exactly as you copied it. No one could get to the web page from that. I'll now right click the www. link at the top of the screen (space) http://www.theanswerb.../Question1177459.html (space). You have to make sure the cursor is blinking at the place you want the link to appear with at least one space after the previous text, if any, before right clicking there. Then left clicking 'Paste' on the drop-down window that appears. Hope this helps.

Sorry again Tilly2, I omitted to say that when I right clicked the link at the top of the page, I left clicked 'Copy' in the drop down window, but I think you probably sussed that anyway.

I still don't understand what went wrong with my copying effort. I can't put in a link because that thread 'factor30 gone missing' has disappeared.

Sir prize posted a picture done in puntuation marks of a man holding his head in his hands and I asked for a link to the website. I went to the website 'chris somrmething', found another punctuation picture and copied and pasted that. It came out looking like a building being demolished.

Lots of people commented on my effort. It was funny that it didn't work but I still don't know why it didn't.
