Just asked this question and managed to get it printed under "F.A.O. Experienced abers" answer Number 11.......Replies to here would be appreciated!!!! Thanks, John
I bought a Candy/hoover under counter fridge a couple of years ago and ever since new has been too cold...I switch it on slowly and the instant the inside light comes on I stop turning the knob. It is on less than 1/2 way to No.1. Does anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to try and put it right? I think they should normally run on around No.5. Thanks in advance, John.
I put a thermometer in my frdge and alter the dial.
I run mine at 5 to 6 degrees centigrade and the setting is about 2 and a half.
The highest setting is 6.
This always confuses me with fridges that have a dial. Is 1 the lowest power so making it the warmest temp or is 1 the actual temperature so making it the coldest setting? Have you tried turning it to 5 or 6 to see whether that setting is colder or warmer?
Just googled Candy/Hoover and got "fridgeshop.net" They list stacks of fridge No.s (Mine's probably one of them) and say they will fix it !!!!! I just buy (from them) a multimeter for £7.45,spend up to 1 hour on the phone to them (fixed price £15) then buy the part they say is needed costing between £20 and £55 ! I shall leave it as it is thank you.....John
