Rear brakes should be self-adjusting (and therefore adjusts handbrake).  Try reversing and putting the brakes on.  If the auto adjust still doesn't work then you have to adjust the actual handbrake cable.

Although I used to own a Civic (coupe) I'm not 100% sure, but it is likely to be one of the following methods:

The central plastic trim that surrounds the handbrake lever has an ashtray at the back (for use by passengers in the rear).  Remove the ashtray and see if there is an adjuster behind there.  I think it's 10mm or 11mm.

If it's not in the above location then remove the shrowd that covers the handbrake lever - this is a rubbery type cover.  You should be able to pull it up between the hard plastic surround.  There may be an adjuster there (but I really think it's the former method).
