Hi friends, here's the prob... have an LG 24" TV. approx 4 years old. When I turn it on, I have a white screen (with sound) but a rainbow of colours that fade and change for about half hour.... I remember from the olden days, that this probably meant a 'tube' problem and I assume this is the same thing although on a slimmer basis!... I now have to turn TV on approx 30 mins befr I want to watch. ... Probably already know answer (replace TV) but am reluctant.. cos of cost and also is this a sign of yet more crap electronic material being consigned to the landfill?... any advice? TIA THE PADSTER

Seems like the panel and/or it's drive electronics are faulty. Repair cost is likely to be the same, or more, than a new TV - especially if the panel needs replacing. It's next home is the tip, sorry.
