If you have answers to a post which you consider offensive and/or inappropriate and you report it, does 'someone' make a judgement about removing that post or is it done automatically?

Yes, Ed makes the judgement. Its his site and he decides whether the post is offensive or not.
I think someone makes a judgement but maybe ED will reply
It's not automatic. I assume the Ed looks at it and decides. When the Ed isn't around it may be that if a post is reported more than a set number of times it is removed- I don't know but that would make sense. It has been mentioned before that mods don't see the reports so aren't aware of them.

Of course if any mods are around they may see the post and can remove it

Thank you both. Thinking about it properly,I suppose if it happened automatically then you could just 'zap' everyone, willy nilly.
Can't Mods remove posts? I'm sure I've seen more than one agree to remove ones that the actual poster requested.

Sorry, factor. You weren't there earlier. You keep popping up.

I'm not talking about myself, Tony. I was thinking of DT's post about Gromit.
Which bit, Tilly, I replied to that post?
Oh right Tilly, I have a look.
Ah righto, i see what your talking about now, Tilly.
Question Author
Sibton, the bit where DT said he might report Gromit.
Ah, I didn't take him seiously
I imagine that *if* DTC has reported the comment, the Ed will take a look at the post it appeared on and go back to reading his newspaper......
pustulating pustule

It is to me.........:o/

I believe that when I post something a red warning light goes on in the AB office.
