20.4 gallons.

thanks snags
shaking head at the state of basic education sometimes
... and the answer is actually exactly 91.125 litres which is approximately 20.04 UK gallons - I think snags dropped a zero in transcription ...
Shall we try an explain it... in the vague hope it will be absorbed...

to work out a volume you do it just as the question was written!
"45cm x 45cm x 45cm"

45*45*45=91125

So it's 91125 cubic centimetres

Divide by 1000 to get litres.
91125/1000=91.125 litres.

Litres to gallons is a basic conversion and easy to find out (4.546 litres in a UK gallon)

91.125/4.546=20.045 gallons

This is stuff I learnt in primary school.

Doesn't the exact figure also depend on the temperature and whether the tank is full....?
