How can I contact Ebay about an archived item? I bought something from a German company, paid, it was delivered, all is well! Suddenly 3 months later I'm getting letters in German demanding payment, I have replied in email and via ebay explaining that I have paid and anyway they want payment before they even send the item. I have the paypal ref no and everything. They just ignore my emails etc. Now sme66ing Ebay demand an item ref for any attempt at communication with customer service and it wont take an archived item! Doh! So any idea how I can contact Ebay to deal with this seller who is harrassing me?

Thanks I just didn't find that!
no worries mrs chappie :-)

good luck dangeruxd
I've used it two or three times and found it very useful.
I've just spoken to eBay about a listing cost issue (see separate thread) - they were very helpful.

A thought though - if you paid by PayPal, won't it be in your PayPal history, with the item number showing against the item?
Your paypal account will show every transaction. if its not there, you didn't pay by paypal.

to the last 2 posters above: Did you read the post? I paid by paypal I have the reference. They would not have sent the item originally. I just think, months down the line there has been some sort of administrative problem.
Take a screenshot of the paypal page and send them and ebay a copy, and contact paypal as well.

done that
Dealing with ebay can be like dealing with government bureaucracy displaying an obsession with procedure as written down with no possibility of discussion.
They imagine they've foreseen all possible problems and have pat solutions in place.
What they do forget is that they're nothing more than a glorified market stall.
