can't find an appropriate category so here it is! can a former employer refuse to give you a copy of a payslip? i kept every payslip but lost one, the one i just happen to need for my Maternity allowance claim. I've been asking them for 3 weeks but have had no response! i didn't leave on the best of terms as i felt they had broken employment laws anyway (but didn't realise til i quit! so was too late to do anything about it!) anyway, does anyone know where i stand?

They only have to give you one, if you lose that, they don't have to give you another one unless they decide to through good nature.

A place I used to work in charges you for photocopies!!
