Bought two bathrooms mats kinda spongey - since they are cream have been washed twice - however, price tag sticky thing has left a residue - how can I remove it - thanks

Dab it with nail varnish remover? Or rub talc into it - the patch won't go away, but it won't be sticky any longer.

Thanks Boxy - I would have been mad had these mats been expensive. This is a cuppla times it has happened to me.

there now - have dabbed Imperial Leather talc. love that smell.
You're right Hopkirk, brilliant stuff, clears anything sticky, oily etc with a nice lemony smell, often available from "pound/euro shops" or from Kleeneze if you get a catalogue.

thanks Hopkirk for that - will look out for that.
Or you could try putting the mats in the freezer for a couple of hours and then try scraping the sticky stuff off. Works for chewing gum, I believe
