No...because my sons messages always go into 'other' and we're friends.

I wondered if it had anything to do with what phones they are sent by.

It is weird. I've had messages from people not on my friends list that have gone into my normal box. My sons always go into 'other'....he always posts on my wall when he sends me a message to prompt me to check.

Click the cog in facebook - privacy settings - who can contact me

Look at whose messages do I want filtered in to my inbox and see if your settings are affecting it

Hmmm...it's set at 'basic'

Strict says it might filter to 'others'

Just checked my 'other' box and found this message from strange man

"Hello gorgeous, just admiring your beautiful profile picture with the cool smile on your face...can we communicate as in chart if you don't mind? My name is Blah blah i work as Contract Engineer"

I don't understand Fb although I do have an account but rarely use my own page. Our town has a great new facebook page of old photos and history of the buildings, shops etc. I find it very annoying if I post an old photo, inviting comments about it, it appears for a short time on the left hand side showing the full photo, but then jumps across to the right with just my name "Ann has posted a photo" instead of it being there for people to see. They have to click the paper clip to see it, so most followers don't bother to open it and comment. Am I doing something wrong?
