I would like every court in the country from magistrates up to publish online each day all the guilty verdicts including photos of the accused, the offence and the sentence.
The police should do the same with cautions.
Is there any reason this is not happening now and will it ever happen? It should not be difficult nor costly.
I accept there will be a minority of cases where such information will be restricted.
Our local paper publishes details of all the local court cases every week. Nothing of much interest.........motoring offences, shop lifting, no TV licences (hundreds!!), d&d, etc.
Hc, you mentioned "including photos of the accused". I am one of those who are of the opinion that, no matter the crime, photos and details should not be made public if the person is merely accused.
