I live and work in London Enfield for the last 3 years. I don't live on benefits and I'm working full time and pay my taxes.
For the time being I'm sharing a house but I'm 61 years old and don't have patient enough to bear with the noise and lack of cleaning the flatmates behavior. Sometimes I get so depressed I just want to get a sleep and don't wake up. Sometimes I can't sleep and go to work exhausted. Don't get wrong : I like them all but is to much for me. Someone told me that I probably am entitled to request the council a small flat to live on my own. Can anyone please help and tell if its true and what should I do to achieve it? Please help me... You can certainly apply to the council and housing associations but there is no guarantee they will house soon if at all.
Is there any reason why you can't rent a more suitable property privately?
