Xmas Christmas Present

have received above - beautiful vanity case with spas - soap, hand wash etc.

I am trying to think of "POOR" people - I don't know any of them.

Now I am thinking of My Zyditu in Ethopia. I very much want to send the present to her. ( I sponsor her|) anyway the last present I sent ie clothes bangles soaps toys etc cost me £80.

Is there a cheaper way I can send this to her - thank Conne (I'm not feeling too good)

thanks g'ness - just reading that redhelen has left and fgt has been user-inactive - sorry to hear of that. I did think user-inactive meant (you were gone forever too) picked up that wrong. People do they what they have to do but you would miss this site for the help you get rather than the wrong.

It's a lovely idea, conne - the cheaper way would be to sent it surface mail but it would take weeks to get there, and you've no guarantee that she'd actually receive it. You are doing better in sponsoring her with money - and I don't know that "poor" people (as you say) would benefit from a luxury gift, they'd probably like something more practical. The idea of offering it as a raffle prize (perhaps at the church or similar) is a very good idea.

If your package doesn't weigh more than 2kg then it should cost a lot, lot less than £80 (£20 odd at the most). It is only if it weighs more than 2kg that it costs a LOT of money. There are certain things you can't send through the post, aerosols, perfume, nail varnish to name a few, but if you pop into your local post office, weigh the items you have and get a price and ask for a leaflet regarding dangerous goods then you should be sorted.
