Small Claims Court

I am in dispute with a florist over a bill I paid, only to discover several key items were missing from the inventory of products supplied to the event. I paid by cheque. I have complained in writing, at the first opportunity, stating my concern about the missing items and totalling them up to be 72 from the original bill (about 9%). As a small florist, perhaps not used to getting written complaints, she has responded in writing, basically insulting me and telling me to get lost. I have objectively studiend the case and believe I am correct and see no reason why a refund is not in order.
The goods supplied were not as inventorised.
Should I use the SCC to recover the money (it's a lot to me) and if so, how do I begin the process? Even if I only got a small amount back, it has to be better than the current status.
