Then it worked for another month or so. Then my problem occured just like yours. In the end, my landlady was fed up with paying cash out to plumbers, the boiler was ancient anyway so she forked out to get a new one. Be careful as you dont want to get a "Bob the Builder" firm out!!! Good Luck
Before you buy a new boiler.....
Get a plumber in. If your system has a diverter valve it is easily replaced and will restore your hot water in no time.
If you don't have one, do you have a thermostat valve on the feed to your hot water cylinder, again get a plumber in.
Is your hot water feed independently pumped? Again get a plumber in.
Good luck
check the water pressure in the boiler. Look at the gague and if it is low or non existent, then the pressure needs topping up. There will be a hose on the bottom of the boiler or the pipes below it. The hose is usually a silver braided hose. Open both taps (one at each end of the hose) and turn them off when the pressure is at the correct level. There's often a coloured section on the dial to show the correct area the needle should be in. If this is the fault and the pressure drops fairly regularly, you have a leak somewhere.
