Cannon Gas Cooker

I wonder if there any gas fitters out there who can help me please? We have a Cannon gas cooker with high level grill and two pieces of the grill simply fell out. The metal strip and mesh are still both intact but the manual I have does not explain or show exactly how these are fixed into the grill. Someone has fixed the metal strip but we can't work out how the mesh is kept in place. We slotted it into the metal strip where it stayed in place for a couple of days but it then fell out again! I contacted Cannon who have been no help at all - I was told that there are no spare parts available. What happened to the 10 year rule for spare parts? Can anyone advise how the mesh can be fixed please? Many thanks in advance.
