I've been using lozenges as a way of getting my nicotine fix rather than the tradition Golden Virginia method. Unfortunately, the tablets I'm using are high in sugar. A visit to the dentists today showed I've caused real damage to my teeth, I might as well have been bathing them in a sugar solution, and it's going to cost £765 to put it right.
Anybody know anything about e-cigarettes?

My daughter uses them and seems quite content with them.
A friend of mine gave up smoking successfully with some pills from the doctors...but I can't remember what they are called. I know she said they may cause sleep disturbance in some people.
Why don`t you try the nicotine patches?
Question Author
237sj, I did start with patches but I had a bad reaction with blistering on my arms.
oh, OK. Just wondered.
I'll bet you are more pleasant to snog though Sandy?
Question Author
Maybe. If I can ever get my hands on a woman again I'll ask for feedback. But I suspect I'd be told, 'your breaths lovely but you seem to have forgotten the finer points of snogging'.

http://www.nicorette.com/faq It says here that Nicorette is sugar free. Mind you, one of the flavours is sweetened with sorbitol so you won`t be able to get off the loo long enough to worry about your teeth.
Sandy, I'm about to try them myself now.

Son says, i can only try, at least he's had great success.

Rather than the cheapy ones which look like actual ciggies, those, didn't work for me.

The tablets cupid's talking about are Champix.
Question Author
That'll do, Boo. Your recommendation means I get one that does the job.
Can confirm.. Over two years smoke free and with Boo's recommendation got a decent vaping kit. Never looked back :)
Have you tried hypnotism? It worked for me.
I was paying £6pd @ £42pw to cough cough cough & be breathless - how dumb is that? Not smoked since 15th June tho I might light up asa I forget. Tried ecigs but dont want steam in my lungs. The cost keeps me smokeless atm ;)
