Buzzing platform

I was on the platform at the station with my girlfriend this morning.....when i touched her hand...(which she sometimes lets me do) there was a humming feeling between us on our skin....it must have been from the power cables over head....but is this dangerous....?  how much electricity must have been passing through us for us to be resonating

I've experienced the same thing when lying on an electric blanket which was switched on, and when my chap touched me, my skin buzzed and we both felt it. I turned the blanket off pretty quick, and wondered then about the amount of electricity and what it does to the body's systems.
