A Great Afternoon Out

Went with a few friends to The Wistow Maize Maze today - I confess to not exactly being over the moon about the prospect, but had nothing better to do ...

... how wrong could I be - it is just brilliant.

The maze itself is very clever - with clues to find and puzzles to solve. Even with the map provided it was far from simple to get round.

Even better though is the associated 'Rural Centre' - great coffee shop, splendid deli and some nice Crafte Shoppes.

All in all, an excellent afternoon out.

Such amazing designs!

A friend used to take her kids to Hampton Court maze for birthday parties and the park keeper gave her the route so she was always there in the centre with a picnic for the kids.

They thought she was magic.....or maybe a witch ;-)

There were some quite worried mothers in Wistow, at what should have been going home time ... the kids stuck in the maze seemed fine, but it will get dark eventually :)
