As all the window trims around every UPVC window in the UK are held in place with Super glue ... I think you can soak your specs in water until the cows come home.
They will still be smeared..!
Alavahalf, I think you are wrong about superglue and windows, I also think Answerpancer is right about soaking superglue softening it. I used to use superglue for making O rings and the O ring kit contained a waterproofing laquer to protect the superglue in damp applications.
windscreen washer/antifreeze contains isopropyl alcohol which is a very mild solvent and rarely affects plastics but may well soften superglue with a bit of a soak.
