My son turn 18 in October, he dose'nt have a driving license but he does have a student I.D card with no D.O.B on it, can someone direct me to a website or give me information on how and where to get a I.D card with his date of birth which can be used in pubs and restaurant etc, I know there are lots out there some want to charge, but he will need one that is industry/government recognised and preferably free.

thanks.

Cheers Chris.

Dave.
My son has a disability so could not get a driving license.

When he turned 18 we got him various ID cards, those suggested by the local police and our local council.

But it was amazing how many places would not accept either of his ID cards.

In the end we got him a driving license so it may be better to get your son one, even if he is not going to use it to drive with.
I agree that its worth getting a prov licence as it most widely accepted. I know an 75 year old lady who's never driven, but kept her prov licence renewed all these years to prove age and identity. Useful in banks as well as pubs and clubs.
^^ thought there was a limit as to how long you could hold a provisional driving licence with out taking a test?
