My pc is running Windows XP for which Microsoft ceased support in April of this year. So why when I close down do I still occasionally receive a message that Windows is running an update to the system?
I still have Windows XP and it is running at snail pace. So many people who have xp are complaining of this fact - it MUST be a ploy to get us to have horrible Windows 8 - I will NOT be bullied into having this, but I am heartily sick of seeing the "egg timer!"
There is nothing wrong with Windows 8.1. If you haven't tried it for a few weeks you can't really judge, listening to others who dislike it is a tad foolish, as not everyone likes the same things.
Although updates for Win XP have ceased you will still receive updates for other installed Microsoft products (e.g. Office, Silverlight, etc.) and the monthly Malicious Software Removal Tool.
